We received around 10 inches of snow in the Mankato area of very heavy and wet snow. Here are a couple of images from just outside of my home:

I haven’t posted anything for a while but as most of you know we are getting another significant snow storm. We are expecting around 10 inches locally in Mankato with strong winds coming into the area tonight and tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Here is the GFS 120 hour forecast snowfall totals (as of Sunday Evening). This includes an inch or two of snowfall Monday night but still its looking like we may be in for well over a foot of snow in the Mankato, MN area Wednesday through Friday. Of course the storm is a few days …

A large blizzard and snow storm is expected for the upper Midwest and Great Lakes region starting later tonight through Wednesday. This includes our region in southern Minnesota where they are expecting 8-10 inches of snow and 45mph+ winds.
